Ten years in the blink of an eye!

Ten years ago today I photographed my first newborn here in Ontario. Her name is Amy and I remember it like it was yesterday. My daughter Taylor was just 6 weeks old.
I remember the sheer awe I had for that family. They really trusted me. And in that moment it was the first time I felt like I was doing something important. I mean I had been an air traffic controller for years before but this… I was creating pieces of art for their family history and the privilege of doing that, of being invited and welcomed into their home was almost overwhelming.
I drove home from their image reveal with the biggest goofiest smile. The images I created for them, the ones that showed the world how they felt about her, were forever in their family timeline (…this was before Facebook so no they weren’t actually on their ‘timeline’).
I didn’t go looking for this kind of career but the effects of it washed over me like a tidal wave; I found a way I could make people smile and feel good and see love. I was hooked and the rest, as they say is history!
I have been blessed beyond measure to serve some of the most amazing and loyal families. Through the power of social media and many many visits year after year I see my babies grow up, sit up on their own, eat their first food, take their first steps, go to school, play their first hockey game, dance their first recitals, graduate, go to college….
My desire for each of my families is to be moved, feel touched and be inspired….funny enough that is what you all do for me.
So how do I repay you. How do I pay it forward? There’s no easy answer.
What if I made it feel like that again, like where it all started?

So from now until the end of October all newborn and family session pricing will be just like it was then! Session fees were $185, and our digital only bundles for all your images was just $1500* In 2017 most of our families invest around $3300 and up for a single digital only session.
Some people are going to call me crazy, and maybe I’m just a tad overly emotional because its been a decade of doing what I love for some really amazing people but its time to celebrate!
